“I wanted to make Mommy’s day”
A few mornings ago, Avery closed the door to her bedroom and emerged several minutes later fully clothed. Her getting dressed on her own is nothing new, of course, but she usually doesn’t do it without being prompted. Later, I asked why she got dressed without me asking. “I wanted to make Mommy’s day,” she said with a smile.
