“No sister”

As mentioned earlier, one of the first things Avery learned at preschool was how to say Zoe. (Apparently she asked a lot for “Sister” in the beginning; one of her teachers finally understood what she was saying and said, “Oh! Where’s Zoe?”) I had to smile yesterday, then, when I said to Avery, “Come on, it’s time to pick up Sis Sis,” and she responded with a frown and a “No ‘Sister,’ Mama. It’s Zoe!”
