Avery’s leaf

Some of you may have seenÂ me write about this on Facebook,Â but when we were rushing to school the other day Avery stopped to pick up a pretty, large maple leaf on the ground. After inspecting it for awhile,Â she proudly carried it toÂ Zoe’s classroom and then to her own – and seeing how happy the leaf made her made me happy. It also reminded meÂ of one of the lessons we should take from children: to slow down and enjoyÂ the little pleasures in life.Â Kids, especially small ones,Â are so good at doing that…
