{"id":4655,"date":"2010-05-09T13:43:16","date_gmt":"2010-05-09T21:43:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.zoe.browdy.net\/?p=4655"},"modified":"2010-05-09T13:43:16","modified_gmt":"2010-05-09T21:43:16","slug":"happy-mothers-day-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.zoe.browdy.net\/?p=4655","title":{"rendered":"Happy Mother&#8217;s Day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The other night, when Zoe was playing with her dolls and stuffed animals, she commented to me, &#8220;I&#8217;m the mommy.&#8221; &#8220;What do mommies do?&#8221; I asked her, and she responded, &#8220;They take care of their babies.&#8221; She made me laugh by going on to tell me what daddies do (&#8220;They go to Giants games&#8221;), but she also made me feel a bit like crying &#8211; in that <em>good<\/em> way &#8211; by showing that she gets what mommies are for. (I must be doing something right, I thought.)<\/p>\n<p>And so, to all of you out there who have your own babies (even grown-up ones!) to take care of: Happy Mother&#8217;s Day!
