BUT I just got a call from my hematologist, who tells me that my platelets were up to 88K today. (See the &#8220;platelets are my friends&#8221; entry to find out why that&#8217;s important.) That&#8217;s the highest they&#8217;ve been since, well &#8211; at least the year 2000 (when I was diagnosed w\/ ITP), and I couldn&#8217;t be more thrilled. The human body continues to amaze me!
