{"id":26970,"date":"2019-01-19T18:24:04","date_gmt":"2019-01-20T02:24:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.zoe.browdy.net\/?p=26970"},"modified":"2019-02-02T13:33:38","modified_gmt":"2019-02-02T21:33:38","slug":"israel-part-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.zoe.browdy.net\/?p=26970","title":{"rendered":"Israel, part 3"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The last time we visited Israel, it was so hot that we couldn&#8217;t possibly go to <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Masada\">Masada<\/a> (where the sun pounds down on you and there&#8217;s barely any shade). But December is a perfect time to visit &#8211; so we planned a trip there, as well as to the Dead Sea and <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ein_Gedi\">Ein Gedi National Park<\/a>, with good friends from school who recently moved to Israel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our trip included lunch at a random pizza place between Tel Aviv and Masada that was referred to as a &#8220;must stop&#8221; by TripAdvisor (it really was quite good), a stop for a sheep crossing, and a nighttime dip in the sea (photos of that coming separately). And when we were on top of Masada (which I <em>hope<\/em> impressed the girls) I told Zoe, &#8220;The next time you&#8217;re probably going to be here is during your eighth grade trip with the school.
