{"id":24015,"date":"2016-07-27T09:53:45","date_gmt":"2016-07-27T17:53:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.zoe.browdy.net\/?p=24015"},"modified":"2016-07-28T15:33:02","modified_gmt":"2016-07-28T23:33:02","slug":"israel-day-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.zoe.browdy.net\/?p=24015","title":{"rendered":"Israel, day 2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Our first road trip in Israel took us up north, to <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Rosh_HaNikra_grottoes\">Rosh Hanikra<\/a>, home to white chalk stone cliffs,\u00c2\u00a0beautiful grottoes, and turquoise water. (In guidebooks, it is referred to as one of the most beautiful spots in the country &#8211; and I was eager to see it.) The grottoes are located just steps away from Lebanon so we took a peek over the border and snapped some photos (see photo 4\u00c2\u00a0below) before heading\u00c2\u00a0down to the Old City of <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Acre,_Israel\">Akko<\/a>, one of the\u00c2\u00a0oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world.
