A quick look back at this blog showed me that we hadn&#8217;t visited in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.zoe.browdy.net\/?p=9552\">more than three years<\/a>, so it seemed like a good idea. We headed down on Christmas Eve Day and, as we predicted, it was relatively empty. But even better than the lack of crowds was how much <em>fun<\/em> the girls had. Avery, who had just turned two during our last visit, had no recollection of being there, so she was seeing things through brand-new eyes. She loved the touch pools (the squishy sea cucumber was her favorite animal there) and the various exhibits (especially the jellies). And Zoe was particularly into a detective game for kids and into the sea otters (which she declared as her favorite new animal &#8211; sorry, hippos).
