It’s been a bittersweet week: I’ve been terribly sad about the loss of my uncle, yet I’ve been home and enjoying my time with the girls.<\/p>\n

Zoe and Avery have two weeks between camp and school, and I took off work this week to run what\u00c2\u00a0I call\u00c2\u00a0“Mommy Camp.” On our agenda were visits to the Bay Area Discovery Museum<\/a> and the beloved Hop-n-Play, trips to several playgrounds and an ice-cream parlor,\u00c2\u00a0little projects like making edible Play-Doh (a big hit),\u00c2\u00a0and many, many science activities. (Thanks to Dan and Jenny for\u00c2\u00a0getting Zoe\u00c2\u00a0My First Mind Blowing Science Kit<\/a>.)\u00c2\u00a0The\u00c2\u00a0girls seemed to enjoy all our activities (with Zoe especially liking\u00c2\u00a0the\u00c2\u00a0daily schedule that I left in front of her door each morning), and we had very few bad moments. I also clearly wore them out: Zoe has taken a nap three of our five days together!<\/p>\n

I think Mommy Camp\u00c2\u00a0might\u00c2\u00a0become an annual tradition…<\/p>\n
