{"id":13754,"date":"2012-07-29T19:38:37","date_gmt":"2012-07-30T03:38:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.zoe.browdy.net\/?p=13754"},"modified":"2012-07-29T19:40:14","modified_gmt":"2012-07-30T03:40:14","slug":"worth-it","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.zoe.browdy.net\/?p=13754","title":{"rendered":"Worth it?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve written here before that Avery wasn&#8217;t exactly the easiest traveling baby; she disliked sleeping anywhere but her crib for her first year (or two?) of life,\u00c2\u00a0which led to some <a href=\"http:\/\/www.zoe.browdy.net\/?p=6071\">difficult, long nights<\/a> for us when on the road. She has gotten a lot better but still has her occasional moments, like last night when we were in Santa Cruz for a little weekend get-away. She took <em>forever<\/em> to get to sleep &#8211; whining, crying and\u00c2\u00a0requiring more than 1.5 hours of us singing, bouncing, doing whatever in a pitch-black room to get her to settle down and not wake up her sister. (This is something we haven&#8217;t had to do in a <em>long<\/em> time, and it\u00c2\u00a0felt like having a newborn!) She also made me ask, yet again: Is traveling with kids even worth it?<\/p>\n<p>Alas, the answer is in the photo below.
