Who is Sesame?
Sesame was the nickname that we used for our baby girl before she was born. The baby was ultimately born on Thanksgiving and named Zoe.
So – why Sesame, you ask? When we learned of the pregnancy we quickly logged on to BabyCenter.com and signed up for their weekly updates. Each week they send out e-mails detailing what’s happening with Mom and Baby during that particular time – and they’re very fond of using foods (e.g. lentil bean, grape, avocado) to describe the size of the baby. In week 5, we were informed that “at this point [the baby is] about the size of a sesame seed, and she looks more like a tiny tadpole than a human.” We started calling the baby Sesame (which is way cooler than “Tadpole”) and the name just stuck.
